Creative writing and mindfulness course in Assisi
The course starts on Sunday, July 10 at 5 p.m. and ends on Friday, July 15 at 3 p.m.
It is not a theoretical course but an intensive course of writing practice and meditation.
The meditation practices support your creative process, help you disconnect and focus, find a space of serenity conducive to creativity, and lots of authentic material from which to take inspiration for your stories.
The course of small writing exercises lead you to the creation of a short story from autobiographical material. You explore how a narrative idea is born, discover the protagonist, make him move within a story, choose the point of view and narrator best suited to give effectiveness and beauty to the theme of your story. You write and compare yourself, in an atmosphere of openness and absence of judgment, following a path that allows you to try to write in your own way, receive personal guidance, explore texts by great authors, compare yourself with the teacher and be in a group of people with whom you can share ideas, texts, cues, stimuli. In the end, you will be holding your own writing, unpredictable at first, the result of the journey.
Visits to enchanting places, to the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, S. Damiano and the Hermitage of the Carceri, with the intense and unique atmospheres that characterize them, will be a source of creative nourishment and further stimulation, for your sensitivity and your writing. Visits will be accompanied by a professional guide, and transportation is organized by minivan.
It is normal that there will be people with different experience in the group, students who have been attending Reverì for a few years and new people; the mutual exchange is very effective for everyone. There will be no shortage of moments of total relaxation and peace!
Conducting the course
The course is conducted by Anna Traini, 1976, an author and theater director, who has been teaching since 2001 and has been the director of Reverì, Small Storytelling School, since 2015. She conducts workshops and courses in art training schools (CFA of Luca Bizzarri, Genoa) in primary and secondary schools, universities (Milan, Bergamo, Lugano) and leads training courses with storytelling techniques for companies and institutions. He teaches creative writing and storytelling with a specific method, which includes active group-leading techniques and practices for the development of creativity. His classes are characterized by a welcoming atmosphere, great listening and a lively creative lightness. Her theatrical works include Aperitivi con Sophia (with Roberto Mordacci, Teatro Franco Parenti, Milan), Le meraviglie del quotidiano (inside Milan Cathedral), Genesi (Urban Theater Festival – Morimondo Abbey), Va de l’avant (Collegiata di Bellinzona). She is a speaker at national festivals (Il Tempo delle Donne, Milan 2019, Festival della Crescita, Milan 2019, Narrability – Spazio BASE Milano, 2018). Her education: graduated from Civica Scuola d’Arte Drammatica ‘P.Grassi’ School of Dramatic Art in Milan (2001), specialized at Accademia della Scala and Piccolo Teatro in Milan, graduated in Aesthetic Philosophy from Milan State University. She completed her skills in conducting creative groups and creative processes by training at the two-year school of classical psychodrama in Milan. She graduated as an MBSR instructor at AIM’s Mindfulness Professional Training, with F.Giommi and A. Commellato. She studied creative writing with C. Profumo and was assistant dramaturg for Dario Fo
Where
Assisi
We are in Assisi, where spirituality and energy can be felt as in few places in the world. We will be hosted in a Villa surrounded by greenery, peace and total tranquility. We will visit Assisi’s iconic sites, such as the Basilica of St. Francis, the Hermitage of the Prisons and San Damiano, on a guided tour that will tell us the history and anecdotes of these places.

Method of payment:
At registration: enrollment is confirmed by payment of the course fee (250 euros including taxes, by bank transfer or Paypal to Reverì, a small pcriting school),
By July 1 must be paid , by transfer to Spiritualtour , the fee for board and lodging (255 euros to which must be added 20 euros for accommodation taxes and practice fees)
On site, only the expenses for entrance fees to the sites, the guide and private minivan transportation to the places of visit remain, for a total of about 35/40 euros (variable depending on the final number of members).
In case of illness for Covid or if the international tension situation worsens to such an extent that the course cannot be held, the amount paid will be refunded.
